Andrew Bow

Andrew Bow, the brains behind Vermilion Solar, has long been interested in environmental issues. As a former legislative aide at the Ohio State House, he read all of the existing and proposed legislation on environmental issues. Later, as an executive administrator at the Ohio Environmental Council, he worked with the new director to take the agency in a new direction by renewing their mission statement.

But it wasn’t until he went to build his own solar-powered home, and found a lot of issues with information and guidelines, that he determined he would start his own company and find a way to make using renewable energy easier, smarter and better. He is currently working towards that goal, and now, with certification from COTC and NABCEP, he’s helping home owners and builders in Central Ohio and across the country do the same.
